Q. How long do the stories have to be? Is there a minimum/maximum length?

A. A minimum of 500 words would be appreciated. No drabbles please, but no limits on how long your story can be. At least 1000 words would be best, if you can manage it.

Q. Can volunteer beta-readers also write/draw for the fest?

A. Of course!

Q. Does the story have to be about bringing him back? Can it be about their school days?

A. Er, that sort of doesn't meet the purpose of the challenge, which is to bring Sirius back to life. Flashbacks to the bygone era of the Marauders are of course allowed, but the main focus must be Sirius's returning after his fall through the veil.

Q. Are there any restrictions on the artwork to be submitted?

A. The only restrictions on artwork are in the file types. Please send in only .jpgs or .gifs. Any other filetype will be returned and/or converted if possible. This includes .art and .png files. Please keep file sizes under 1MB if e-mailing them. Otherwise upload to a server and e-mail the URL to the FQF. Artwork of any sort is accepted except photo-manipulations. Artwork must not have been previously published or posted. All artwork remains the property of the artist but must not be posted anywhere else until the Fest has concluded and the grace period honoured. Artwork may be rated G - NC-17.

Q. Are comics allowed?

A. Yes! Of course!

Q. Can a series of works be submitted?

A. Yes, most definitely. The more art, the merrier.

Q. Is there any criteria the artwork must meet other than the basic challenge?

A. No additional criteria is necessary, though artists can take on any of the additional challenges offered here.
