Summary: Regulus decides to make Sirius' life hell.
Feedback: ‘m a whore for it.
Notation: Bad to let me write on coffee and little to no sleep,
especially when it's a challenge fic. If
this bitch doesn't flow quite so well, well…Blame Regulus! *grumbles at
muse* He's got a weird idea of family. And he decided half-way through this he
didn't want to do it anymore. Which explains the rest of it. *nods*
Dedication: Cassi, my wonderful beta and beautiful friend. If it wasn't
for her, this wouldn't have gotten in on time! I'm grateful she decided to
give up an hour or so sleep to help me when stuck and beta the blasted thing. I
hate working weekends. Ah well… Cassi! Thankee!

"I hate him," Regulus Black said during breakfast, glaring angrily at his twin's back. "It's not fair that he's so happy, so happy with them."
"He's a blood traitor," Lucius Malfoy murmured, amused. "And of course he's happy – he's getting very thoroughly laid."
"By who?" Regulus demanded. "Potter? They're never out of each other's sight; it's disgusting."
"No, the other one," Severus said, stabbing at his breakfast. "Honestly, you call yourself his brother."
"He's not my brother!" Regulus growled. "He's a disgusting traitor who has never caused anything but anger!"
"Which other one?" Lucius asked, curious. "I thought it was Potter."
"Guess again."
"The fat one?" Regulus asked, frowning. "If it is, I will personally kill my brother for his absolutely horrid taste."
"Not that one either. Lupin."
"Lupin?" Lucius repeated in disbelief. "How the hell did he manage to get the king of ice?"
"How the fuck should I know?" Severus grumbled. "Why are you smiling?"
Regulus started to chuckle. "That's a very good piece of information."
"Oh?" Lucius asked, bored.
"Oh, yes, this is very good…"
"Might we inquire as to why?"
"Of course, my dear Lucius."
"Well? Why?" Severus demanded.
"Sirius and I are twins, no?"
"Yes…"
"Well, I'll simply…switch places with him," Regulus snickered. "Poor Loony Lupin will have absolutely no idea who the hell he's with!"
Lucius frowned, "And do what with him?"
"Oh, simply claim what's mine in due for Sirius' failures," Regulus grinned. "Sirius will want nothing to do with Loony Lupin after I claim him as my own."

Taking the earring out of his left ear, the one Sirius didn't wear his earring in, Regulus charmed his Slytherin tie and robe into a Gryffindor one. Carefully he bewitched his arm, adding the Celtic band tattoo that Sirius had around his right bicep and adding the moon phases along his arm. The necklaces that Sirius wore could be explained away since Regulus didn't remember what they looked like, and all other small marks of his brother was unneeded. Regulus made his hair grow a little long, to the right length as Sirius' and looked at himself in the mirror. Perfect.
Slipping out of his dorm, Regulus set about trying to find Lupin. It was time to put his plan into action.

Remus sat in the library, pretending to read while watching the dark haired beauty across the table frown at an essay he was writing.
"Why are you staring at me?" Sirius asked, not looking up, quill still scratching away.
"No reason," Remus grinned. "Just looking is all."
"Just looking?" Sirius repeated, frowning.
"Mmhm," Remus smiled, closing his book. "I'm going to go back to the Common room. No one's going to be there, and I'm bored. Care to keep me company after you finish that thing?"
Sirius nodded. "I'll be along soon. Just need to finish this damned essay. Still can't believe how much we have to write on the differences of bloodstone and moonstone and how they boost magick and so on and so forth. Two feet! Ugh."
"You just like complaining about it," Remus laughed. "You always manage to get one of the best grades in the class."
"Meh," Sirius muttered. "I'll see you in a few minutes, okay?"
Remus nodded and kissed Sirius' forehead before leaving. He left the library and wandered through the hallways on his way back to the Common room. He didn't bother watching where he was going, knowing the hallways he was wandering were never in use.
He found the staircases and was about to go up one when he ran right into…Sirius.
"Siri?" Remus asked, frowning. "I thought you were going to finish that essay first?"
"Oh, I finished it early," Sirius said off-handedly.
Remus stared at him. "You finish six inches and got all the way over here before I did? Damn, did you and James find another passage way?"
"Oh, not really. Just used a few short cuts I know about," Sirius said, looking uncomfortable. "Besides, what does it matter? I'm here now, with you, and I want to show you something."
"Show me what?" Remus asked, wary. "The last time you said that, I ended up with a bucket of glitter over my head."
"No tricks this time," Sirius said, wrapping his arms around Remus' waist. "I promise." Slowly, almost shyly, he kissed Remus. But the kiss was all wrong; it didn't taste like Sirius, and it didn't feel like him either.
"Okay, who are you? There's no way in hell Sirius could have gotten here before me, even if he did give up on his essay," Remus asked, eyes narrowed.
Sirius made a face. "Re, it's me, for crying out loud. You've gone paranoid."
Remus sighed, "I suppose you're right. I need to relax and get my mind off the damned moon. C'mon, let's go back to the Common room. There's no one there."
"You didn't tell me why there's no one there," Sirius asked, letting Remus lead him to the Common room.
"Oh," Remus laughed. "I thought you knew. The first years are gone for special classes, second years are playing Quidditch, and everyone else is in Hogsmeade."
"Right," Sirius grinned. "And I suppose you're bored?"
"Not bored," Remus said sweetly, giving the Fat Lady the password before pushing Sirius up against the wall. "I just want a pleasant…distraction."
"You want to use me as a distraction?" Sirius asked, raising an eyebrow.
Remus laughed, "As if you haven't done the same."
"Oh, I don't know…" Sirius laughed, eyes glinting gold in the fire. But the eyes were wrong, Remus thought, stepping away, confused. Sirius stepped forward, pushing Remus up against the wall this time. "Maybe I should use you today."
"Let me go," Remus said quickly, struggling. Gold-blue eyes; Regulus' eyes. He wasn't Sirius, hadn't felt or tasted like Sirius. "Let me go!"
"Now, now," Regulus smiled sweetly. "You're at my mercy. Since you know who I am, even better. I think it's time I claimed what's equally mine."
"Let me go!" Remus snapped, kicking at Regulus' legs.
"Now, now, now," Regulus laughed, kissing Remus with a bruising force. "Let's not fight this, eh? It'll only make things worse." He began to touch Remus, touching him where only Sirius was allowed to, where it was Sirius' right.
"Stop it!" Remus cried out, trying to stop the other boy from touching him. "Stop! Let me go!"
"I don't think so," Regulus growled, slipping a finger inside of Remus' body; the other boy thrashed even more violently. "You see, once I've claimed you as my own, my brother will want nothing to do with you, whore."
Remus stopped fighting as the words turned to daggers and stabbed him fiercely. He turned his face away, eyes closed tightly as he felt Regulus probing him. He didn't understand how the shy, quiet boy who followed his twin around until third year could become this vicious, cruel person.
"What? Not enjoying this?" Regulus sneered.
Remus opened his eyes, trying not to cry. "Why are you doing this?" he whispered, wincing at a particularly painful jab.
"What?" Regulus asked, freezing.
"Why are you doing this?" Remus repeated, looking at Regulus, eyes full of pain and grief. "To me? To Sirius?"
"He deserves it!" Regulus snapped, pulling away from Remus, withdrawing his fingers. "He abandoned me! He ruined everything! And he has no goddamned right to be happy!"
"So you want to destroy my life, and ruin Sirius' few chances for joy?" Remus asked softly, eyes downcast, pulling his robes tightly around him, pressed back against the wall of the Common room.
Regulus stared, mouth moving, trying to form words, but seemingly unable to. The gold-blue eyes flashed, changing quickly, emotions flickering across them. "I…I…I have to go," he said hurriedly, running out of the room.
Remus nodded a few times, eyes closed tightly, trying to force down the sobs that wanted so badly to escape. He gasped a few times, trying to repress the tears and failing. He slid down the wall, curled in on himself, crying bitterly. He huddled there for a few minutes, until he finally won the battle and forced both sobs and tears down. He got up, fixing his pants, and sat in one of the old, dusty chairs in one of the coldest, darkest parts of the Common room.

Sirius glared at his essay and bit the tip of his quill. How could he possibly end this? Professor Gloom was going to see right past all his bullshit and fancy words and round-about sentences and was going to happily nail him. He did it every essay, just to waste space, and each time it came back with a high grade, but plenty of commentary and a detention.
Sighing, he quickly scribbled down a few sentences.
"Thus ends my report on moonstones and bloodstones for the wildly beautiful Professor Gloom. Thank you muchly on giving this lowly student such a brilliant assignment so that said student may one day pass on the brilliant knowledge on the mighty powers of said stones as stated above."
Yep, that sounded like the perfect amount of bullshit to earn him a good detention for his insolence.
Gathering up his things, he shoved them into his bag and stalked out of the library, heading straight to the Common room, hoping that Re hadn't given up on him and had just decided to read a book or something. He gave the Fat Lady the password, ignoring the strange looks she gave him, and stalked into the Common room.
"I hate Professor Gloom!" he yelled, not caring who heard him. "That…witch! Two feet for that bloody essay when there's barely six inches worth of information in any of those blasted books!"
There wasn't any sound.
Sirius frowned and looked around, spotting a huddled lump of robes over in a dark corner. Dropping his bag near one of the other chairs, he climbed over some of the chairs to sit before the dark chair.
"Re?" he asked softly, puzzled. The huddled mass shook. Frowning, Sirius sat on the chair too, arms going around Remus; the other boy jerked away, his amber eyes wide in fear.
"Don't touch me!" he whispered frantically, obviously panicked.
"Remy?" Sirius asked, now full of worry. "What's wrong, love?"
"Leave me alone! Just…don't touch me!"
"Re, what happened? Did I do something to hurt…?"
"Yes, you! Or are you Regulus? Who are you? I can't…just leave me the hell alone!" Remus cried, flying off the chair and up the stairs to the dorm, leaving a puzzled and disturbed Sirius in his wake.
